Polypropylene

1. Meaning
Polypropylene plastic sheet, also known as PP sheet, is a semi crystalline material.
2. Advantages
1. High hardness and melting point
2. Lower thermal distortion temperature (100 ℃), low transparency, low glossiness, and low rigidity
3. The impact strength is high, and the strength of PP increases with the increase of ethylene content
4. The surface stiffness and scratch resistance of PP board are good. PP board is modified by adding glass fiber, metal additives or thermoplastic rubber. The flow rate MFR range is 1-40. PP materials with low MFR have better impact resistance but lower tensile strength. Therefore, PP boards usually do not have environmental stress cracking problems.
5. The shrinkage rate of PP board is quite high. PP board, as a semi crystalline material, generally has a shrinkage rate of 1.8-2.5%. And the directional uniformity of shrinkage is much better than that of materials such as PE-HD.
6. Has excellent resistance to moisture absorption, acid and alkali corrosion, and dissolution.
3. Application scope
Acid and alkali resistant equipment, electroplating equipment, solar photovoltaic equipment, environmental protection equipment, wastewater and exhaust gas discharge equipment, washing towers, clean rooms, semiconductor factories and related industrial equipment, are also the preferred materials for manufacturing plastic water tanks. PP thick sheet is widely used in stamping plates, punch press pads, etc.
It is also applied to the back panel of washing machines, insulation layer of refrigerators, packaging of frozen foods, medicines, sugar and wine, etc. Hollow board production lines can also be used to produce PE hollow boards to supply insulation room partitions needed for urban construction and rural areas.
