In an electrolytic cell, the first stage where current flows into the electrolyte is called a graphite anode plate. In the electrolysis industry, the anode is generally made into a plate shape, so it is called a graphite anode plate. It is widely used in electric ferry, wastewater treatment, industrial anti-corrosion equipment, or as a special material. In the electrolysis industry, graphite anode plates have been used as anodes for more than 100 years.
Graphite cathode plate: Graphite cathode, characterized in that the cathode carbon block is composed of 30-60% electrically calcined smokeless coal with a particle size of less than 8 millimeters, 15-30% roasted crushed coal, 10-50% graphite, and 15-25% asphalt. The characteristic of the cathode carbon block is that it plays a dual role in conducting electricity and forming the inner lining of the electrolytic cell. Aluminum electrolysis requires the production of cathode carbon blocks with high temperature resistance, lava erosion resistance, conductivity, good thermal conductivity, high mechanical performance, good thermal shock resistance, and strong sodium corrosion resistance. This is conducive to energy conservation and the improvement of cell life in aluminum electrolysis production. The types of cathode carbon blocks in China are basically divided into three categories: cathode carbon blocks, semi graphite carbon blocks, and graphite carbon blocks according to the quality requirements of the product, the selected materials, and the process conditions.
